3D-printed Ge-68 reference phantoms
for quantitative PET/CT.
Long-lived radioactive sources. Digitally defined geometries. A new approach to repeatable reference measurements.

01 / THE IDEA
A defined shape.
A repeatable reference.
Measuring radioactivity depends on the instrumentation properties and on the geometry of the reference source.
SwissNuCRO integrates radionuclides into a 3D-printed polymer matrix. This creates solid-state phantoms with digitally specified geometry and activity distribution, without repeatedly filling that phantom with short-lived radioactive liquids.

03 / WHY IT MATTERS
Better comparisons
start with calibration.
Molecular imaging techniques, such as PET, make the distribution of a radioactive tracer visible. Calibration helps put those measurements on a consistent basis.
For imaging teams, scanner developers and researchers, long-lived solid state phantoms provide a controlled object for evaluating performance and comparing measurement workflows.
